Our Story

I'm a cheerful, hard-working single lady who teaches at a university. I've got an incredibly strong relationship with my parents, not to mention a squad of friends who are The Best™. My job allows me to be home five days a week, and any child in my family qualifies for free tuition at the university I work at.

Each day in our family is a new adventure, between teaching, hanging out with my friends, and trying to learn new things to bake. When I'm not cooking, I can often be found cuddling my dogs, watching my favorite movies, or working in the garden. But, I also love to travel and experience new cultures.

  • Going to concerts
  • Craft nights with friends
  • Attending musicals and plays
  • Favorite Shows: Ghosts, Great British Baking Show, and The Repair Shop
  • Favorite Movies: Miss Congeniality, The Court Jester, Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  • Favorite Vacation: Yellowstone National Park
  • Favorite Places: Ireland and New Zealand
  • Our Neighborhood

I live in a cute Tudor-style house in a quiet neighborhood with my parents, Mat and Paula. Our backyard has about twenty rose bushes in the 'secret garden' half of the yard. On the other side of the yard is our vegetable garden. We love to grow a lot of our own vegetables and fruit; there's nothing like fresh strawberries!

Just a couple of blocks away from our house is a darling park, and in the other direction is our local library. Pretty much everyone in the neighborhood knows us (mostly because the dogs love to say hi to anyone they see on our walks). We're also part of a close-knit church community, and most Sundays I walk to church.

  • Family Traditions
  • Every Christmas we get ornaments that represent something important for the year
  • In the winter, we put luminaria in front of the house
  • Halloween is when our extended family gets together for a Not-So-Spooky Dinners
  • Every other year, we go on vacation to Yellowstone National Park

Why We Want to Adopt

My name is Kirstin (said Share-stin). Thank you for considering me as a potential parent for your baby. I am so excited to tell you more about myself and the people I love.

Our Life and Lifestyle

  • Two or three times a day, we take the dogs on a walk
  • We play silly roadtrip games
  • Going on a trip to Disney with my friends every couple of years
  • Traveling abroad every couple of years
  • At the end of the night, we always have a family hug and "I love you"
  • Family and Friends
  • Mat, my dad, likes to collect rocks and loves to tell jokes
  • Paula, my mom, is an amazing artist (though she's too shy to say so)
  • My uncles Roger and Brent and my Aunt Nadine all live just fifteen minutes away
  • Kylie is my best friend of nearly 25 years, and she's my sister in all but blood
  • Jamie is one of my most dependable and adventurous friends
  • Mis amigas Sami, Issa, and Martha are some of my biggest cheerleaders
  • Aly is a labor and delivery nurse, and we love to go on far flung trips together
  • My friend Holly is incredibly supportive and a giant Marvel comics nerd

I promise to love your child no matter what. Every night I will read them a bedtime story and tell them how loved they are. And, I will do my best to help them become the best version of whoever they want to be. I will do everything I can do to surround them with love, warmth, laughter, safety, and adventure.

I also want to keep the lines of communication open between you and I. We can decide together whether that means visits, calls, letters, or a mix of those things. I just want you to be sure your child is doing well and let them know where they came from.

Thank you for considering me as a parent for your child. Thank you for the love you are showing your child, for the way you are trying to do your best for them.

measure. Your choice of adoption is one of immense strength and generosity. Adoption is a familiar word in our family. Sarah was adopted by her parents and she understands both the challenges and triumphs of that experience from the child’s perspective. We would be excited and honored to give that same unconditional love to your baby. Our battle with secondary, unexplained infertility has been a message from God that adoption is our path to grow our family. Infertility has been hard, but getting to follow in Sarah’s parents’ footsteps is powerful. To share a little about us , Kennedy loves her friends and family. Her favorite things to do are being with her animals, riding horses, snowboarding, and playing music with her dad, Cameron. Cameron is an athlete and a musician. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these things. Hearing the first note of any song, he can tell you who sings it, and what year it was released. Oh yeah-and he loves Jeopardy!

the same warm

I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl, and I’m so hopeful that adoption will help me grow the family I’ve been waiting for with all my heart. I’m a caring, creative, and loving person, a mix of silly and sentimental. I live in the same warm, welcoming neighborhood I grew up in. I spend my days running my own business, bringing creative enrichment programs to children across the area. I teach preschool dance and yoga classes, so my days are filled with movement, music, storytelling, and lots of laughter. It’s truly the most wonderful job in the world. Watching a shy child light up with confidence or seeing a little one beam with pride after learning a new dance move reminds me how powerful creativity and connection can be in a young child’s life. This work is not just my career, it’s my passion, and it keeps me grounded in what matters most: nurturing children with love, joy, and presence. My family means the world to me. My parents, brother, sister-in-law, and two amazing nieces all live nearby, and we’re incredibly close. We share meals, celebrate holidays, and travel together. Our home is full of traditions, from

a hot climate

I live in West Africa, where my days often look different. Some days I’m out working with others in the community, other days I’m home working, but every day starts with a workout, a protein smoothie, and often ends with cooking, friends, or a baseball game. I’ve been blessed with an incredible circle of family and friends around the world. My sisters are my best friends, we travel, laugh, and create memories together, and my local community here is a daily source of encouragement, fun, and support. Kids have always been part of my heart. Since I was little, I’ve been the one with a baby on my hip, and even now, babies and kids seem to find me. They brighten my days and keep my heart full. I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was two, and I can’t wait to raise a child with a life rooted in love, joy, and adventure. I look forward to continuing to go on adventures with the child I add to my family, hiking with muddy boots, chasing sunsets, sampling ice cream in every new city we visit, and paddling across lakes with our toes dangling in the water. Whether big or small, I want them to experience the thrill of trying new things and the wonder of seeing the world with wide-open eyes. Family life with me will be cozy, joyful, and a little adventurous. There will be days at home filled with cooking, games, and laughter, and other days spent out in the community together. My work is flexible, so I’ll be a stay-at-home mom while also modeling what it looks like to live a life of purpose and service. Your child will be surrounded by a loving community of friends and family who are ready to embrace them with open arms.
