What Birth Moms and Families Say

We walk with you. Here are a few of the families we have helped.

Act of Love is more than just an adoption agency, it's an incredible family that we felt immediately welcomed to and supported by.

Act of Love is more than just an adoption agency, it's an incredible family that we felt immediately welcomed to and supported by as we embarked on our adoption journey. We also witnessed the same level of incredible care and support with our baby's magical birth parents, which was very important to us. Thank you!

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to place a baby for adoption?+

No. All adoption services, legal counsel, and approved pregnancy-related living expenses are provided at no cost to you, as allowed by state law.

Can I change my mind?+

Yes, until you sign the voluntary relinquishment. In Utah, consent is signed no earlier than 24 hours after birth and is irrevocable upon signing.

What if the birth father isn't involved?+

Birth father rights vary by state. In Utah, there is a putative father registry with specific notice requirements. We walk you through every step.

What happens at the hospital?+

You are in charge at the hospital. You decide who is present, who holds the baby first, and what your discharge plan looks like.

Can I still have contact with my child after placement?+

Yes, if you choose open or semi-open adoption. Most adoptions today involve ongoing contact in some form.

Do I have to live in Utah to work with you?+

No. We help birth moms in many states. Out-of-state placements are coordinated through the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC). Adoption laws vary by state, so a free consultation is the best way to understand what is possible where you live.
