Our Story
We hope this letter finds you in a moment of peace. We want to assure you that we approach this with the utmost sincerity and respect.
We want your child to know their story, to understand the immense love that led to this decision, and to feel proud of where they came from. We are open to discussing how we can honor your role in their life while providing them with love and security.
Please know you are not alone on this journey; we are thinking of you and praying you have strength and peace while navigating this time in your life.
Our adventure began in May 2016. Rocky swears it was love at first sight, while Heather took her sweet time catching up. Back then, Heather was fostering teenagers, but Rocky wasn't deterred; he jumped right in, ready to tackle life with teenagers like a pro. His compassion, sharp wit, and uncanny ability to listen, quickly won Heather's heart. She initially thought he was too good to be true, yet he proved her wrong day after day.
They tied the knot in 2020 with a paddle-board ceremony due to covid regulations.
Note from Rocky
Rocky describes Heather as being the most genuinely honest, loving, and caring person he has ever met. Her smile lights up his world. She embraces life's experiences with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store, and Rocky feels incredibly lucky to have found her. Heather has this magical ability to inspire everyone around her to become their best selves, loving everyone for who they are.
Note from Heather
Heather describes Rocky as always thinking of others and finding ways to lend a hand, whether it’s helping family or making Heather laugh on a tough day. He has a special gift for teaching, too. Every time they take on a new project, Heather learns something new. She feels incredibly lucky to have a partner who’s not only kind and capable but also loves diving into life’s adventures by her side.
Heather is the middle child of five siblings, and Rocky is the youngest of two. Heather and Rocky are very close with their families, and everyone lives within a 30-minute drive. They often get together for dinner and play soccer or volleyball at the park. Rocky and Heather love to spend their free time with family and friends, but they especially love to hang out with their nieces and nephews; whether it’s goofing around in the backyard or cheering them on at one of their games or performances.
Their fur babies are a big part of their lives. They have two wonderful dogs; Barkley is the sweetest and brings a smile to their faces every day. Maezie has lots of energy and keeps them on their toes. They also have three adorable cats; Geppetto is timid and loves snuggles, Poppy is their little shadow, and Mavis is their adventurous hunter that loves the outdoors.
Rocky works full time close by and is able to maneuver his schedule.

measure. Your choice of adoption is one of immense strength and generosity. Adoption is a familiar word in our family. Sarah was adopted by her parents and she understands both the challenges and triumphs of that experience from the child’s perspective. We would be excited and honored to give that same unconditional love to your baby. Our battle with secondary, unexplained infertility has been a message from God that adoption is our path to grow our family. Infertility has been hard, but getting to follow in Sarah’s parents’ footsteps is powerful. To share a little about us , Kennedy loves her friends and family. Her favorite things to do are being with her animals, riding horses, snowboarding, and playing music with her dad, Cameron. Cameron is an athlete and a musician. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these things. Hearing the first note of any song, he can tell you who sings it, and what year it was released. Oh yeah-and he loves Jeopardy!

We deeply respect that you are thinking about your child’s future & your own future in a way that requires incredible strength, love, & resilience. We appreciate that you have hopes & dreams guiding your journey, just as we do, & we are humbled by your willingness to take this path as you help others fulfill their dream of becoming a parent. We have found that the most growth in life tends to come from experiences we never imagined or saw coming. These events have shaped us & have become a part of who we are. We hope you find all the support & care you need to feel genuinely encouraged along the way. We are so happy to provide a child with a loving place to call home. We have family & friends who have adopted or are adopted. Everyone is supportive & happy for us! We are committed & enthusiastic about being a consistent presence, adapting & supporting a child through every new phase in life & growing with them through one another’s lessons & mistakes along the way. We both value education & spiritual growth. It is important to us that they have opportunities to grow in these areas as well. We will encourage them to gain experience & knowledge in whatever holds their interest. We will want them to feel comfortable in their identity & who they are. We will not hesitate to make connections & offer them experiences that will help them explore in a stable, comfortable way & at their own pace. We value wisdom, compassion, critical thinking, humility, love, & the ability to balance that love with reason. We will encourage them to consider these things in whatever path they choose to take in life. We will also remind them it’s important to take time to laugh & appreciate everything they have. I (Kate) met Ed 16 years ago online. I messaged Ed when I realized his profile had more heart & humor than the rest. Within our first conversation, we both knew we found a match in mental energy, playful banter, loyalty, & affection. We both work from home & make coffee together in the morning. We have a home-cooked meal at night & talk about anything & everything.
