Our Story
Hi there! We're Ryan and Pia, and we're so grateful you're taking the time to learn about us. The idea of welcoming a child into our lives through adoption means the world to us, and we hope our story gives you a sense of who we are. Whatever you decide, we wish you and your child all the happiness and peace. We'd love the chance to meet you and hear about your journey too.
We originally met in college, but it wasn't until after graduation, when we spent more time together, that we really connected. There was just something special about each other that felt right-we were drawn to each other's adventurous spirit, shared goofiness, and how everything seemed to feel more fun and meaningful when we were together. Dating felt natural, like an exciting new chapter, and we found ourselves bonding over our love for exploring new places, trying out unique coffee shops and restaurants, and cruising side by side on motorcycle rides.
It didn't take long for us to know this was it. So, during one of our most memorable vacations, we got engaged, ready to make it official. A year and a half later, we said "I do" surrounded by our closest friends and family, in a celebration full of love and laughter. Since then, we've continued to embrace life together-whether through travel, local festivals, or taking on new challenges every year. And we cherish the little things just as much: early morning coffee dates, walks with our dog, or game nights with friends that leave us laughing for hours. Now, we're ready and excited to share this love with a child, to open our hearts and home through the beautiful journey of adoption.
Our hobbies include staying active with just about anything outdoors, motorcycle riding, and exploring new places (especially for food and coffee). We also love game nights and spending time with our family and friends.
Why We Want to Adopt
Hi there! We're Ryan and Pia, and we're so grateful you're taking the time to learn about us. Our Life and Lifestyle
Together, we love to see and experience new places, people, and foods! We appreciate the beauty of world around us, and try to soak in as much as we can each year, whether it's around our home or a far off destination. Most recently, we had the opportunity to spend time traveling Europe.
We both come from somewhat small families, but regardless of size they remain extremely important to us. We have many traditions that we look forward to each season. Many of them have been passed down from our parents and we are excited to share them with our future child.
Our home is a cozy two-story house nestled in the southwestern United States, surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes and green common areas with playgrounds. We have a large backyard with a firepit, perfect for making s'mores on cool evenings.
Our neighborhood is filled with families, with kids often playing outside, and we're close to several schools, making it ideal for a growing family. Nearby, there's an event center that hosts farmer's markets and seasonal events throughout the year, bringing even more community activities and excitement to our area.

We deeply respect that you are thinking about your child’s future & your own future in a way that requires incredible strength, love, & resilience. We appreciate that you have hopes & dreams guiding your journey, just as we do, & we are humbled by your willingness to take this path as you help others fulfill their dream of becoming a parent. We have found that the most growth in life tends to come from experiences we never imagined or saw coming. These events have shaped us & have become a part of who we are. We hope you find all the support & care you need to feel genuinely encouraged along the way. We are so happy to provide a child with a loving place to call home. We have family & friends who have adopted or are adopted. Everyone is supportive & happy for us! We are committed & enthusiastic about being a consistent presence, adapting & supporting a child through every new phase in life & growing with them through one another’s lessons & mistakes along the way. We both value education & spiritual growth. It is important to us that they have opportunities to grow in these areas as well. We will encourage them to gain experience & knowledge in whatever holds their interest. We will want them to feel comfortable in their identity & who they are. We will not hesitate to make connections & offer them experiences that will help them explore in a stable, comfortable way & at their own pace. We value wisdom, compassion, critical thinking, humility, love, & the ability to balance that love with reason. We will encourage them to consider these things in whatever path they choose to take in life. We will also remind them it’s important to take time to laugh & appreciate everything they have. I (Kate) met Ed 16 years ago online. I messaged Ed when I realized his profile had more heart & humor than the rest. Within our first conversation, we both knew we found a match in mental energy, playful banter, loyalty, & affection. We both work from home & make coffee together in the morning. We have a home-cooked meal at night & talk about anything & everything.

measure. Your choice of adoption is one of immense strength and generosity. Adoption is a familiar word in our family. Sarah was adopted by her parents and she understands both the challenges and triumphs of that experience from the child’s perspective. We would be excited and honored to give that same unconditional love to your baby. Our battle with secondary, unexplained infertility has been a message from God that adoption is our path to grow our family. Infertility has been hard, but getting to follow in Sarah’s parents’ footsteps is powerful. To share a little about us , Kennedy loves her friends and family. Her favorite things to do are being with her animals, riding horses, snowboarding, and playing music with her dad, Cameron. Cameron is an athlete and a musician. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these things. Hearing the first note of any song, he can tell you who sings it, and what year it was released. Oh yeah-and he loves Jeopardy!

Thank you so much for considering me to be part of you and your child's life! I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me. I want you to know that I will always provide a loving and safe home for your child. I am open to supporting any level of involvement you would like to have throughout your child's life. I will be sure to share their adoption story with them. They will always know of their birth parents and their love for them. I come from a very large, blended, close-knit family (11 siblings in total!). They are my biggest supporters and are so excited about my adoption journey. Although my family is spread across several states, I always make it a priority to see them. They are incredibly important to me! I live with my two dogs, Charlie and Emilia, and tortoise, Mr. Bojangles. My home is located in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to an elementary school, large park (including a splash pad), and library. The perfect neighborhood to raise a child!
